Start Your Journey Helping Others Through Osteopathy
Canada's Only Principles-Based Osteopathy School
Principles-Based Training. Professional Instructors. Clinical Experience. Discover the CAO Difference…
At the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, we go deeper than technique. The Osteopathy Program provides the theory & practice, professional support, and supervised clinical experience it takes to become a confident Osteopathic Manual Practitioner.
As a student, you’ll learn from the best while gaining practical experience, and get the support you need to become a successful Osteopathic Manual Practitioner. Upon graduation, you’ll receive your Master of Practice Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Sciences (M.OMSc), from a curriculum that aims to meet and exceed the World Health Organization’s standards for education in osteopathy.
Classes are led by dedicated professionals with years of experience working as Osteopathic Manual Practitioners. In the classroom semester students explore hands-on practices and techniques in classroom labs while practicing on fellow students, then in their clinical semester they put it into practice with patients in the CAO’s FREE public Osteopathy Clinic. Our students are given a solid understanding of the founding theory and principles of osteopathy, paired with an in depth look at functional anatomy & physiology.
This is why students who graduate from the CAO are able to confidently treat complex patient issues. Invest in yourself, your career, your future, in becoming a highly sought after Osteopathic Manual Practitioner with the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy.
A Principles-Based Education
At the CAO, a comprehensive training plan carefully balances developing technique through practical, hands-on training with a solid understanding of the founding principles and theory that osteopathic techniques rely on.
This is managed through our classroom training semester and practical clinical semester, of which is presented in a flexible full-time schedule format.
As a graduate of the CAO, you’ll be fully confident & prepared with the foundational knowledge and practical skills you need to enter your new career as a Osteopathic Manual Practitioner.

The CAO provides graduates of its program with an M. OMSc designation, which is a post-graduate diploma. The M. OMSc designation is not a degree. In Canada, there are no Canadian universities that offer degrees in osteopathy, rather osteopathic education is almost exclusively offered by private colleges.
