Canadian Institute of Classical Osteopathy
All CAO graduates are listed in the Canadian Institute of Classical Osteopathy’s National Registry of Classical Osteopathic Manual Practitioners– the most elite education listing in Canada. The Canadian Institute of Classical Osteopathy (CICO) is a continuing education entity dedicated to the preservation of the original osteopathic principles that define the profession. As part of this goal, the CICO brings international historians and lecturers to Canada every year.
The International Institute of Classical Osteopathy
In an effort to unify the individual national institutes of classical osteopathy, the International Institute of Classical Osteopathy (IICO) was founded in 2012. This allows the institute and its affiliates to act as a unified whole, focusing on the education and promotion of classical osteopathy around the globe. At the CAO, we are proud to be an affiliate of the IICO!
The Osteopathyst
“The Osteopathyst” Canadian Journal of Osteopathy is Canada’s professional Osteopathic Journal representing principles-based history, theory, and treatment. This publication is presented by the Canadian Institute of Classical Osteopathy (CICO). Many of our graduates and faculty members have made contributions to the Journal.
Japanese Institute of Classical Osteopathy
Under the direction of Kazunori Matsuzawa, this association offers comprehensive educational courses and advanced study programs for osteopathic practitioners in Japan. Along with faculty members of the CAO, Principal Robert Johnston lectures for JICO several times a year. In addition, the CAO is lucky to host Mr. Matsuzawa and his staff as frequent visitors. JICO is committed to sharing the founding principles of osteopathy as a classical institute. Visit our Facebook page for photos from our past visits to JICO!
